Stuart Library Foundation International Travel Scholarship

Our Goal

Create a scholarship program that will enable young adults in the Stuart Library community to travel outside of the United States as part of an effort to build knowledge about varied global cultures, history, economics, societies and environments.

As Mark Twain said, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”
